I saw they used squirrel language to develop a multiplayer mod for GTA IV,the

I am wondering how I do this to another game. something like chess game which only allows play single player mode either against humans on the same computer or against the machine.
can you please give me some examples how to do this?

This isn't something anyone can just "give examples of". The GTA4 multiplayer mod was mostly written in C++, with Squirrel used for scripting. The source is all here: code.google.com/p/ivmultiplayer/
